Get Around Cabo Carfree is a community movement advocating for more travel options for people. We’re working to make Caboolture and Morayfield a more liveable community and are committed to providing everyone with the opportunity to get around without a car, regardless of their age, ability or income.
Almost 1 in 2 people can’t drive here which can make it difficult to feel part of society leading to limited employment options, fewer social events, missed medical appointments and feeling dependent on others to meet basic transport needs. Lack of transport too often leads to social isolation.
The economic burden of social isolation in the Moreton Bay region is estimated to be ~$60m each year.

We’re aligned with the Strong Towns philosophy for its financial prudence, productive outcomes and long-term viability for the whole community.

Please note. Our goal is for a holistic transport solution for Caboolture and Morayfield so all people live with transport dignity and independence. This means we don’t provide individuals with transport or fix instructure.
If you know a service that provides transport in Caboolture and Morayfield, please let us know. To get your footpath repaired, see SnapSendSolve.
Here's a bit of what we're doing
How we're working to achieve our goals
Advocating for better transport infrastructure
- The movement works with local government and councillors to improve the quality of footpaths and cycleways in Caboolture and Morayfield.
Educating the public about the benefits of active transport
- We give public talks regularly to raise awareness about the negative impact of a car-dependent society.
Increasing awareness of the broader issues associated with a car-dependent society
- Connecting with key stakeholders including the police, ministers, councillors, council officers, business leaders and community members.
